| 1.Introduction |
Compound
Fluorouracil Injection is a chemotherapy drug with various
characteristics of carrier, targeting and increase immunity.
The targeting system is able to directly deliver the liposome-coated
drug to the lesion then kill cancer cells without side
effects.
It is recommended to have two treatment courses for general
use then to re-evaluate after the treatment has done for
monitoring the efficiency, such as tumor markers in blood
sample or CT scan. |

to use |

treatment course will use 1200ml |

It contains
Port-A and Intravenous infusion, both need to be
diluted by 500ml N.S. (Normal Saline) |

drip can lead to the higher dosage and better efficiency |

Be
sure to shake the ampulla about 15 minutes before
using.

The
initial dose of compound fluorouracil is 2 amp (10ml/amp),
then increased to 4 amp. |

first day, add 2 amp into 500ml N.S and mix well. |

Keep
dropping about 40 - 60 drop/min, the rate of dropping
must be controlled to drop over 3hours.

The dose can be increased to 8 amp at the 8th day;
4 amp twice a day in the mornig and evening. |

Intravenous
infusion (dosage for about one month) |

sure to shake the ampulla about 15 minutes before
using, and mix well with normal saline. |

The initial
dose of compound fluorouracil injection is 2 ampullae
(10ml/ampulla) with 500 ml N.S a day slow drip in
order to avoid from phlebitis or venous sclerosis. |

3. |
The does
can be increased to 4 ampullae with 500 ml a day
till the cycle has done. |

| 3.Notice |
| 1. |
At the beginning, patient can be injected by Intravenous
infusion for several days then change to use Port-A
drip. |
| 2. |
The ascitse patient, please dilute the drug with
5%G/W and drip slowly. |
| 3. |
It
is not recommended to use this drug with radiation
therapy at the same time. |
| 4. |
Using
carefully under these situation |
| |
a. |
White blood cell count lower than 3000/mm3, blood
platelet count lower than 50,000/mm3 |
| |
b. |
Infection,
bleeding and fever over than 38℃ |
| 5. |
During
the therapy, no patient has been forced to stop
the administration for overdose. |
| 6. |
After one or two treatment courses of this injection,
patient should return to the hospital for re-evaluation
by routine examinations. |
